Game 6 of the 2015 NBA Finals is going on as we speak. While most of the country is watching the game I've decided to take it a step further and write about the series while I watch.
With a win tonight Golden State takes the NBA Tittle 4-2 over the Cavs. If that happens who is the MVP of the series? Is it Curry? Is it Iguodala? Or is it LeBron James?
Many people think it should go to LeBron regardless of who wins the tittle. This makes a lot of sense. He has dominated the series and is the only reason Cleveland is still in it. But should the MVP go to a losing player? Many people say no and I tend to agree.
Jerry West is the only player to ever do so. LeBron is certainly a player that is capable of being the second person to do this. However, I don't think he should get the MVP. Not because he may be on the losing team, but because someone else deserves it more then him! Andre Iguodala.
Iguodala is way more valuable to Golden State. I know that's to listen to but it's true. There is no stopping LeBron but what Iguodala has done defensively on James has allowed Golden State to win games. Yes LeBron is dominating this series but the award is called MVP, not MDP(Most Dominant Player).
Andre Iguodala was inserted into the starting lineup and it gave Golden State a new life. I heard a radio host say the other day that is you take LeBron out of this series Cleveland doesn't have a chance, which I agree with. He then said if you take out Iguodala Golden State might still have a chance. That I disagree with, take him out and who handles LeBron? No one can. This is what makes Andre Iguodala the NBA Finals MVP.
